Tafseer Ibn Kathir of AL 'ANKABUUT [6]

وَمَن جَاهَدَ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَاهِدُ لِنَفْسِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ

And whoever strives only strives for [the benefit of] himself. Indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.
