Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].
Tafseer
{ ما ودَّعك } تركك يا محمد { ربك وما قلى } أبغضك نزل هذا لما قال الكفار عند تأخر الوحي عنه خمسة عشر يوما: إن ربه ودَّعه وقلاهُ.
{Your Lord has not forsaken you} He has abandoned you, O Muhammad. {Your Lord has not hated you} He has not detested you. This was revealed when the disbelievers said when the revelation was delayed for fifteen days: His Lord has forsaken him and detested him.
