أُوْلَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا جَزَاء بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

Those are the companions of Paradise, abiding eternally therein as reward for what they used to do.

Tafseer

{ أولئك أصحاب الجنة خالدين فيها } حال { جزاءً } منصوب على المصدر بفعله المقدر، أي يجزون { بما كانوا يعملون } .

{Those are the companions of Paradise, abiding therein eternally.} This is a circumstantial phrase {as a reward} which is in the accusative case as a verbal noun with its implied verb, meaning they are rewarded {for what they used to do.}
