21 : 8

وَمَا جَعَلْنَاهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا خَالِدِينَ

And We did not make the prophets forms not eating food, nor were they immortal [on earth].

Tafseer

{ وما جعلناهم } أي الرسل { جسداً } بمعنى أجساداً { لا يأكلون الطعام } بل يأكلونه { وما كانوا خالدين } في الدنيا .

{And We did not make them} meaning the messengers {bodies} meaning bodies {that do not eat food} rather they eat it {nor were they to live} in this world.
