7 : 82

وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلاَّ أَن قَالُواْ أَخْرِجُوهُم مِّن قَرْيَتِكُمْ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ

But the answer of his people was only that they said, "Evict them from your city! Indeed, they are men who keep themselves pure."

Tafseer

{ وما كان جواب قومه إلا أن قالوا أخرجوهم } أي لوطا وأتباعه { من قريتكم إنهم أناس يتطهرون } من أدبار الرجال .

What was his answer only that they said took them out any Lot and his followers They are people of your village purified from the retreat of men.
