69 : 11

إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَى الْمَاء حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ

Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship

Tafseer

{ إنا لما طغا الماء } علا فوق كل شيء من الجبال وغيرها زمن الطوفان { حملناكم } يعني آباءكم إذ أنتم في أصلابهم { في الجارية } السفينة التي عملها نوح ونجا هو ومن كان معه فيها وغرق الاخرون.

{When the water surged} rose above everything, including mountains and other things, during the time of the flood, {We carried you} meaning your fathers, since you were in their loins {in the ship} that Noah built, and he and those who were with him in it were saved, while the others drowned.
