كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ بِالْقَارِعَةِ

Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity.

Tafseer

{ كذبت ثمود وعاد بالقارعة } القيامة لأنها تقرع القلوب بأهوالها.

{Thamud and Aad denied the terrible calamity} of the Resurrection because it strikes hearts with its horrors.
