{ لا يقاتلونكم } أي اليهود {جميعا} مجتمعين {إلا في قرى محصنة أو من وراء جدار} سور ، وفي قراءة جدر { بأسهم } حربهم { بينهم شديد تحسبهم جميعا } مجتمعين { وقلوبهم شتى } متفرقة خلاف الحسبان { ذلك بأنهم قوم لا يعقلون } .
{They will not fight you} meaning the Jews {all together} together {except in fortified villages or from behind a wall} a wall, and in another reading, walls {their might} their war {among themselves is severe. You would think they are all together} together {but their hearts are divided} scattered, contrary to what you think. {That is because they are a people who do not understand.}
