15 : 84

فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ

So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn.

Tafseer

{ فما أغنى } دفع { عنهم } العذاب { ما كانوا يكسبون } من بناء الحصون وجمع الأموال .

What richest pay them torment what they earn from building forts and fundraising.
