49 : 3

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَغُضُّونَ أَصْوَاتَهُمْ عِندَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ امْتَحَنَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوَى لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

Tafseer

Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah - they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness. For them is forgiveness and great reward.

Tafseer

{ إن الذين يغضون أصواتهم عند رسول الله أولئك الذين امتحن } اختبر { الله قلوبهم للتقوى } أي لتظهر منهم { لهم مغفرة وأجر عظيم } الجنة، ونزل في قوم جاءُوا وقت الظهيرة والنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في منزله فنادوه .

{Those who lower their voices in the presence of the Messenger of Allah - those are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for piety} that is, to show from them {for them is forgiveness and a great reward} Paradise. It was revealed concerning a group of people who came at noon while the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was in his house and called out to him.
