76 : 2

إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا

Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing.

Tafseer

{ إنَّا خلقنا الإنسان } الجنس { من نطفة أمشاج } أخلاط، أي من ماء الرجل وماء المرأة المختلطين الممتزجين { نبتليه } نختبره بالتكليف والجملة مستأنفة أو حال مقدرة، أي مريدين ابتلاءه حين تأهله { فجعلناه } بسبب ذلك { سميعا بصيرا } .

{Indeed, We created man} the species {from a sperm-drop mixture} mixtures, that is, from the man’s semen and the woman’s semen mixed and mingled {to test him} We examine him with the task, and the sentence is a new sentence or an implied state, that is, intending to test him when he is ready {and made him} because of that {hearing and seeing}.

Surah
