76 : 8

وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا

And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive,

Tafseer

{ ويطعمون الطعام على حبه } أي الطعام وشهوتهم له { مسكينا } فقيرا { ويتيما } لا أب له { وأسيرا } يعني المحبوس بحق.

{And they give food, in spite of their love for it} meaning food and their desire for it, {to the needy} the poor {and the orphan} who has no father {and the captive} meaning the one imprisoned rightfully.
