But when they saw a transaction or a diversion, [O Muhammad], they rushed to it and left you standing. Say, "What is with Allah is better than diversion and than a transaction, and Allah is the best of providers."
Tafseer
{ وإذا رأوا تجارةً أو لهوا انفضوا إليها } أي التجارة لأنها مطلوبهم دون اللهو { وتركوك } في الخطبة { قائما قل ما عند الله } من الثواب { خير } للذين آمنوا { من اللهو ومن التجارة والله خير الرازقين } يقال: كل إنسان يرزق عائلته، أي من رزق الله تعالى.
{And when they see a transaction or amusement, they disperse to it} meaning the transaction because it is what they seek, not amusement {and leave you} in the sermon {standing. Say, “What is with Allah”} of reward {is better} for those who believe {than amusement and amusement. And Allah is the best of providers.”} It is said: Every person provides for his family, meaning from the provision of Allah Almighty.
