5 : 46

وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَى آثَارِهِم بِعَيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًى وَنُورٌ وَمُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

Tafseer

And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.

Tafseer

{ وقفّينا } أتبعنا { على آثارهم } أي النبيين { بعيسى ابن مريم مصدِّقا لما بين يديه } قبله { من التوراة وآتيناه الإنجيل فيه هدى } من الضلالة { ونور } بيان للأحكام { ومصدِّقا } حال { لما بين يديه من التوراة } لما فيها من الأحكام { وهدى وموعظة للمتقين } .

And Agafina We followed on their tracks any of the Prophets Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the hands before from the Torah and We gave him the Gospel where Huda of misguidance Noor statement provisions and certified if to his hands from the Torah because of the provisions and a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah .
