23 : 82

قَالُوا أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

Tafseer

{ قالوا } أي الأولون { أئذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما أئنا لمبعوثون } لا وفي الهمزتين في الموضعين التحقيق وتسهيل الثانية وإدخال ألف بينهما على الوجهين .

{They said} meaning the first ones {When we have died and become dust and bones, will we indeed be resurrected?} No. And in the two hamzas in the two places, the second is pronounced with emphasis and the second is softened, and an alif is inserted between them in both ways.
