أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ

Did We not destroy the former peoples?

{ ألم نهلك الأولين } بتكذيبهم، أي أهلكناهم.

{Did We not destroy the former peoples?} by their denial, that is, did We not destroy them?
