إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ

Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.

Tafseer

{ إنما توعدون } أي يا كفار مكة من البعث والعذاب { لواقع } كائن لا محالة.

{You are only promised} that is, O disbelievers of Mecca, of resurrection and punishment {that will inevitably come to pass}.
