54 : 12

وَفَجَّرْنَا الْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَالْتَقَى الْمَاء عَلَى أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ

And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined.

Tafseer

{ وفجرنا الأرض عيونا } تنبع { فالتقى الماء } ماء السماء والأرض { على أمر } حال { قد قُدِر } قضي به في الأزل وهو هلاكهم غرقا .

{And We caused springs to gush forth from the earth} gushing forth {and the waters} the water of the sky and the earth {met according to a matter} a state {that had already been decreed} that was decided in eternity, which was their destruction by drowning.
