مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى الدَّاعِ يَقُولُ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ

Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day."

Tafseer

{ مهطعين } مسرعين مادين أعناقهم { إلى الداعِ يقول الكافرون } منهم { هذا يوم عَسِرٌ } صعب على الكافرين كما في المدثر (يوم عسير على الكافرين) .

{Rushing} hurrying, stretching out their necks {to the caller. The disbelievers among them say {This is a difficult day} difficult for the disbelievers, as in Al-Muddaththir (a difficult day for the disbelievers).
