كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ

The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled.

Tafseer

{ كذَّبت قبلهم } قبل قريش { قوم نوح } تأنيث الفعل لمعنى قوم { فكذبوا عبدنا } نوحا { وقالوا مجنون وازدجر } انتهروه بالسب وغيره .

{The people of Noah denied before them} before the Quraysh. The verb is feminine for the meaning of people. {So they denied Our servant} Noah. {And they said, “He is mad.” And he was warned.} They rebuked him with insults and other things.
