And when he wanted to strike the one who was an enemy to both of them, he said, "O Moses, do you intend to kill me as you killed someone yesterday? You only want to be a tyrant in the land and do not want to be of the amenders."
Tafseer
{So when he} is redundant {wanted to seize the one who was an enemy to them both} to Moses and the one who sought his help {he said} the one seeking his help, thinking that he would seize him when he said to him {O Moses, do you want to kill me as you killed a person yesterday? You only want to be a tyrant on earth, and you do not want to be among the reformers.} So the Copt heard that and knew that the killer was Moses, so he went to Pharaoh and told him about that, so Pharaoh ordered the slaughterers to kill Moses, and they took him on the way to him.
