وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا

And the mountains as stakes?

Tafseer

{ والجبال أوتادا } تثبت بها الأرض كما تثبت الخيام بالأوتاد، والاستفهام للتقرير.

{And the mountains are pegs} with which the earth is held steady, just as tents are held steady with pegs. The question is for confirmation.
