24 : 13

لَوْلَا جَاؤُوا عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاء فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِالشُّهَدَاء فَأُوْلَئِكَ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ

Tafseer

Why did they [who slandered] not produce for it four witnesses? And when they do not produce the witnesses, then it is they, in the sight of Allah , who are the liars.

Tafseer

{ لولا } هلا { جاءُوا } أي العصبة { عليه بأربعة شهداء } شاهدوه { فإذا لم يأتوا بالشهداء فأولئك عند الله } أي في حكمه { هم الكاذبون } فيه .

{Why} why did they not bring four witnesses against him? {But if they do not bring four witnesses, then they are the liars in the sight of God} that is, in His judgment.
