AS SAJDAH (SUJUD) — Ayat 9
9
ثُمَّ سَوَّاهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِهِ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ
Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.
Tafsir
{Then He fashioned him} meaning He created Adam {and breathed into him of His spirit} meaning He made him alive and sensitive after he had been inanimate {and made for you} meaning for his descendants {hearing} meaning ears {and sight and hearts} meaning hearts {little are you grateful} “little” is an additional word emphasizing the scarcity.
