فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ

But they hamstrung her and so became regretful.

Tafseer

{ فعقروها } عقرها بعضهم برضاهم { فأصبحوا نادمين } على عقرها .

{So they hamstrung her} Some of them hamstrung her willingly {and they became regretful} for hamstrung her.
