لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ

That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant?"

Tafseer

{ لعلنا نتبع السحرة إن كانوا هم الغالبين } الاستفهام للحث على الاجتماع والترجي على تقدير غلبتهم ليستمروا على دينهم فلا يتبعوا موسى .

{Perhaps we will follow the magicians if they are the victors.} The question is to urge people to gather and to hope that, assuming they are victorious, they will continue with their religion and not follow Moses.
