[He is] Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you from yourselves, mates, and among the cattle, mates; He multiplies you thereby. There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

{ فاطر السماوات والأرض } مبدعهما { جعل لكم من أنفسكم أزواجاً } حيث خلق حواء من ضلع آدم { ومن الأنعام أزواجاً } ذكوراً وإناثاً { يذرؤكم } بالمعجمة بخلقكم { فيه } في الجعل المذكور، أي يكثركم بسببه بالتوالد والضمير للأناسي والأنعام بالتغليب { ليس كمثله شيء } الكاف زائدة لأنه تعالى لا مثل له { وهو السميع } لما يقال { البصير } لما يفعل .
{The Creator of the heavens and the earth} Their Initiator {He has made for you from yourselves mates} as He created Eve from Adam’s rib {and of the grazing livestock mates} males and females {He multiplies you} with the voiced letter by creating you {therein} in the aforementioned making, meaning He multiplies you because of it by procreation, and the pronoun refers to humans and grazing livestock in the dominant form {There is nothing like Him} the kaf is redundant because He, the Most High, has no equal {And He is the Hearing} of what is said {the Seeing} of what He does.
