42 : 36

فَمَا أُوتِيتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا عِندَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

Tafseer

So whatever thing you have been given - it is but [for] enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely

Tafseer

{ فما أوتيتم } خطاب للمؤمنين وغيرهم { من شيءٍ } من أثاث الدنيا { فمتاع الحياة الدنيا } يتمتع به فيها ثم يزول { وما عند الله } من الثواب { خير وأبقى للذين آمنوا وعلى ربهم يتوكلون } ويعطف عليه .

{Whatever you have been given} is addressed to the believers and others {of anything} of the furnishings of this world {is but the enjoyment of this worldly life} which you enjoy in it and then it vanishes {and what is with God} of reward {is better and more lasting for those who believe and rely upon their Lord} and it is connected to it.
