9 : 43

عَفَا اللّهُ عَنكَ لِمَ أَذِنتَ لَهُمْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُواْ وَتَعْلَمَ الْكَاذِبِينَ

May Allah pardon you, [O Muhammad]; why did you give them permission [to remain behind]? [You should not have] until it was evident to you who were truthful and you knew [who were] the liars.

Tafseer

وكان صلى الله عليه وسلم أذن لجماعة في التخلف باجتهاد منه، فنزل عتابا له وقدم العفو تطمينا لقلبه { عفا الله عنك لِمَ أذنت لهم } في التخلف وهلا تركتهم { حتى يتبين لك الذين صدقوا } في العذر { وتعلم الكاذبين } فيه .

The peace be upon him authorized a group of underdevelopment diligently him, got blamed for the him and gave amnesty Ttmina to his heart God forgive you have not authorized them in underdevelopment and HLA abandoned until it is clear to you who believe in excuse and learn liars in it.
