And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing."

{ ولئن } لام قسم { سألتهم من خلق السماوات والأرض ليقولنَّ } حذف منه نون الرفع لتوالي النونات وواو الضمير لالتقاء الساكنين { خلقهن العزيز العليم } آخر جوابهم أي الله ذو العزة والعلم، زاد تعالى :
{And if} is a vowel lam {you ask them, “Who created the heavens and the earth?” They will surely say} The nun of the subject was omitted from it due to the succession of nuns and the waw of the pronoun due to the meeting of two quiescent letters {He created them. The Exalted in Might, the Knowing} is the last of their answer, meaning God, the Possessor of Might and Knowledge. God Almighty added:
