الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍ

Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear.

Tafseer

{ الذي أطعمهم من جوع } أي من أجله { وآمنهم من خوف } أي من أجله وكان يصيبهم الجوع لعدم الزرع بمكة وخافوا جيش الفيل.

{Who fed them against hunger} that is, for its sake {and made them safe from fear} that is, for its sake. They were afflicted with hunger due to the lack of crops in Mecca, and they feared the elephant army.
