But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension.

{ بل الذين كفروا } من أهل مكة { في عزة } حمية وتكبر عن الإيمان { وشقاق } خلاف وعداوة للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم .
{Rather, those who disbelieve} from the people of Mecca {are in pride} arrogance and haughtiness about faith {and dissension} disagreement and enmity towards the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
