36 : 14

إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ اثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ

When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."

Tafseer

{ إذْ أرسلنا إليهم اثنين فكذبوهما } إلى آخره بدل من إذ الأولى { فعَزَزْنا } بالتخفيف والتشديد: قوَّينا الاثنين { بثالث فقالوا إنا إليكم مرسلون } .

{When We sent to them two, but they denied them} to the end, in place of the first “when.” {So We reinforced} with a light and heavy pronunciation: We strengthened the two {with a third, and they said, “Indeed, we are messengers to you.”}
