10 : 13

وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُواْ وَجَاءتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُؤْمِنُواْ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ

Tafseer

And We had already destroyed generations before you when they wronged, and their messengers had come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe. Thus do We recompense the criminal people

Tafseer

{ ولقد أهلكنا القرون } الأمم { من قبلكم } يا أهل مكة { لما ظلموا } بالشرك { و } قد { جاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات } الدالات على صدقهم { وما كانوا ليؤمنوا } عطف على ظلموا { كذلك } كما أهلكنا أولئك { نجزي القوم المجرمين } الكافرين .

Have we spoiled centuries Nations by you O people of Mecca what wronged shirk and may came to their Messengers based functions on sincerity and what they were to believe sympathy for wronged also as we spoiled those We recompense evildoers unbelievers .
