{ فتقطعوا } أي الأتباع { أمرهم } دينهم { بينهم زبرا } حال من فاعل تقطعوا أي أحزابا متخالفين كاليهود والنصارى وغيرهم { كل حزب بما لديهم } أي عندهم من الدين { فرحون } مسرورون .
{So they divided} meaning the followers {their religion} their religion {among themselves into sects} a state of the subject of “divided” meaning opposing parties like the Jews, the Christians and others {each party rejoicing in what they have} meaning what they have of religion {and are pleased} happy.
