Tafseer Ibn Kathir of AL MU'MINUUN [53]

فَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ

But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing.
