36 : 6

لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّا أُنذِرَ آبَاؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَافِلُونَ

That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.

Tafseer

{لتنذرَ} به {قوما} متعلق بتنزيل { ما أنذر آباؤهم } أي لم ينذروا في زمن الفترة { فهم } أي القوم { غافلون } عن الإيمان والرشد.

{To warn} with it {a people} related to the revelation {whose fathers were not warned} that is, they were not warned during the period {so they} that is, the people {are heedless} of faith and guidance.
