Tafseer Ibn Kathir of ASH SHAAFFAAT [98]

فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَسْفَلِينَ

And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.
