Tafseer Ibn Kathir of HUUD [21]

أُوْلَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَ

Those are the ones who will have lost themselves, and lost from them is what they used to invent.
