Tafseer Ibn Kathir of AD DUKHAAN [37]

أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ

Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals.
