Tafseer Ibn Kathir of AL ANBIYAA' [12]

فَلَمَّا أَحَسُّوا بَأْسَنَا إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ

And when its inhabitants perceived Our punishment, at once they fled from it.
