Tafseer Ibn Kathir of AN NAHL [21]

أَمْواتٌ غَيْرُ أَحْيَاء وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبْعَثُونَ

They are, [in fact], dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.
