Tafseer Ibn Kathir of HUUD [65]

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُواْ فِي دَارِكُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ذَلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوبٍ

But they hamstrung her, so he said, "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. That is a promise not to be denied."
